Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00
Are you a proactive tech-troubleshooter who loves being out in the field rather than stuck behind a desk all day? Holdcroft Motor Group is looking for an IT Field Support Engineer to join our central IT team. If you’re great with people and even better with technology, this is your chance to support our dealerships, ensuring our teams stay connected and our systems run seamlessly.
What You'll Get in Return
Varied Role: Enjoy a hands-on field-based position supporting multiple dealership locations across the region.
Career Development: Join a supportive and growing business that values ongoing learning and technical development.
Added Perks: Employee discounts, colleague referral bonus scheme, and access to an employee assistance programme.
As an IT Field Support Engineer, you’ll be the face of IT support across the business, helping staff overcome day-to-day technical challenges and ensuring systems remain operational.
Your responsibilities will include:
Hands-on Support: Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support for PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Setup & Installation: Configuring and deploying new hardware and software across dealership locations.
Troubleshooting: Resolving network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi and cabling, along with software issues across Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Workspace.
Security & Maintenance: Ensuring systems remain secure, updated, and compliant with the latest security patches.
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable individual with a passion for problem-solving and customer support:
What You Bring to the Table
IT Support Experience: Previous experience within a 1st or 2nd line IT support role is essential.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office/365, and basic networking including cabling, routers, and switches.
Hardware Skills: Comfortable installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and workstation setups.
Communication Skills: Able to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently to non-technical colleagues.
Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential due to travel between dealership sites.
If you’re ready to hit the road and solve technical challenges as part of a supportive and growing IT team, apply now — we’d love to hear from you.
